EHRA Position OverviewPrimary Purpose of Position
This is a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track lecturer position. Lecturers/Teaching Assistant Professors teach four courses per semester in their respective departments. Classes will be assigned as needed by the Department Chair. Additional duties assigned by the Department Chair include, but are not limited to, student academic advising and career mentoring, serving on departmental/college and university committees,. This position is expected to work cooperatively and productively with faculty and staff within the Department, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and UniversityPrimary Function of Organizational Unit
The department is housed within the University’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) enrolls more than 1,950 students and has more than 160 faculty members. CAHSS houses the Departments of Criminal Justice, English, History & Political Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Liberal Studies, and Visual and Performing Arts. The CAHSS Dean’s Office has administrative oversight/responsibility for the six academic units and affiliated programs of the College, as well as for its faculty & staff.Minimum Requirements
An earned doctorate terminal degree in the teaching discipline or closely related discipline.Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
At least two years of teaching and professional experience is preferred with proven skills in the discipline.Required License or Certification
