Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full-time Instructional Teaching Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This role provides valuable classroom experience in a supportive, faith-based environment. The Instructional Teaching Assistant will work closely with a lead teacher to support lesson delivery, provide small-group instruction, and assist with behavior management to create a positive and engaging learning space. This position provides an opportunity for growth as qualified Instructional Teaching Assistants are given first consideration should a teaching vacancy occur.

Job Duties
• Work with the classroom teacher, when directed, to assist students to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own by doing the following:
o Clarifying and explaining instructions
o Ensuring that students can use equipment and materials provided
o Motivating and encouraging student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance, and help with learning tasks as appropriate to students’ needs
• Consistently and effectively implement agreed behavior management strategies
• Help to make appropriate resources to support student learning
• Work with small groups of students for remediation or enrichment at the discretion of the classroom teacher
• Attend monthly Staff Mission meetings after school from 3:30 to 4:30 on designated Thursdays.
• Assist the classroom teacher in creation of materials needed for classroom lessons
• Supervise during lunch, recess, and dismissal/arrival as designated by the teacher
Ideal candidates should have experience in a classroom setting or a degree in education and possess strong collaboration and communication skills. This position includes full benefits, with the salary dependent on experience. All candidates must pass a Level II background screening before employment.
