The Women’s Resource Center is seeking a full-time graduate assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year with the possibility of continuing through a second year. The graduate Assistant must have earned a bachelor’s degree. This person will work under the supervision of the WRC Program Coordinator. The GA will provide event programming, teaching, facilitation, and administrative support for The Women’s Resource Center within the Office of Access and Opportunity. The GA will focus on implementing and managing the WRC Educational Programs. Other responsibilities include office support, event development and facilitation, managing student-led programs, fundraising, assessing WRC Program standards, and other duties as assigned by the WRC Program Coordinator and the Director of the Office of Access and Opportunity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Acceptance of an EMU graduate program related to the work of the Women’s Resource Center.
Basic knowledge of feminism, intersectionality, women’s rights, oppression, discrimination, bias, gender equality, equity, sexual violence, domestic violence, sexual health, mental health, and social justice education.
Excellent interpersonal communication, teaching, research, and facilitation skills.
Strong public speaking, teaching, and writing skills.
Strong organizational skills and experience with event planning and programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft word, google spreadsheets, Canva, Canvas, computer technology programs, Ai technology, data analysis and empirical research is preferred.
Experience developing programs and working with teams is preferred.
