I also have strong problem-solving skills that help me to come up with creative solutions to the challenges that come with the crime scene investigation process.

One of the biggest challenges crime scene specialists face is preserving the integrity of the crime scene while collecting and analyzing evidence. To deal with this, I would ensure that proper protocols and procedures are followed to minimize contamination and ensure the preservation of evidence.

I stay up to date on the latest developments in forensic science by reading relevant industry publications, attending conferences and workshops, and networking with other professionals in the field. I also make a point to stay informed about changes in techniques and technologies used in forensic analysis.

I once worked on a case where the evidence was very limited and degraded. The challenge was to extract DNA from the samples and identify a suspect. I used advanced DNA extraction techniques and analysis to extract a full DNA profile from the samples and matched it to the suspect, helping to solve the case.
