Early Childhood Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community. This full-time position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and is eager to support their growth in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

In our early childhood program, we strive to foster creativity, independence, and confident decision making in every child. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, compassion, and a love of learning. Through purposeful play and engaging, research-based activities, you will help students build early literacy, language, and foundational math skills while supporting their social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in daily classroom instruction and activities
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and faith-filled learning environment
• Assist in preparing classroom materials, projects, and displays
• Work with students in both whole group and small group settings
• Support arrival and dismissal routines
• Supervise students during recess, free play, and possibly field trips
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment
• Assist in promoting positive student behavior and classroom management

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children
