Summary

The Account Manager – Technical Education (Contract) serves as the primary point of contact for all technical education project related activities and is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the program. The project emphasizes collaboration among Service Sales, Regional Service Managers (RSMs), and Technical Education to assess compliance with trained engineers within hospitals, while also identifying and delivering targeted educational opportunities to help hospitals achieve and maintain compliance.

This role supports a healthcare-focused business that manages customer accounts and coordinates training registrations rather than delivering training. The position is part of a special compliance project and serves as the central point of coordination between multiple business groups and stakeholders.

Working closely with Regional Service Managers (RSMs), customers, and Technical Education leadership, the Account Manager identifies training gaps, develops account-specific engagement plans, coordinates customer communications, and facilitates engineer enrolment in training programs. The role is responsible for driving training participation, ensuring visibility among stakeholders, and helping hospitals achieve and maintain compliance requirements through targeted technical education.

A successful Account Manager maintains a strong understanding of project objectives, technical education offerings, registration processes, and organizational priorities. This individual demonstrates exceptional project coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills while ensuring a high-quality customer experience and successful program outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a compliance-related project focused on shared service contracts.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external customers/stakeholders.
  • Manage customer accounts and support training scheduling and enrolment processes.
  • Track project progress, ensure compliance requirements are met, and facilitate communication across groups.
  • Quickly learn business processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Drive project activities and help move initiatives forward with minimal supervision.


Operational Execution – Project

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the project within the Technical Education team.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long‑term relationships with internal teams, customer stakeholders and decision makers to execute the goals and objectives of the project.
  • Manage assigned project accounts throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
  • Partner with RSMs to develop account-specific strategies for hospitals identified with training gaps.
  • Ensure customers understand available training solutions and compliance requirements.


Training Coordination

  • Maintain alignment between customer needs, training availability, and project objectives.
  • Participate in project planning and review meetings with RSMs and Technical Education
  • Identify appropriate technical education offerings based on system-specific training gaps.
  • Coordinate engineer registrations for instructor-led, virtual, and web-based training programs.
  • Monitor enrolment progress and address scheduling or registration challenges.


Communication Management

  • Execute customer communication plans developed in collaboration with RSMs.
  • Conduct outreach to hospitals regarding identified training opportunities.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding training schedules, prerequisites, and registration requirements.
  • Document customer interactions and project updates.


Success Measurements / Qualifications

  • Experience in account management, customer relationship management, or stakeholder management.
  • Strong project coordination or project management skills.
  • Understanding of the healthcare education marketplace; diagnostic imaging and therapy experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with customers at multiple organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, transactions, and priorities effectively
  • Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and customer‑focused with strong ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes quickly.
  • Experience in healthcare, training coordination, vendor management, operations, or process improvement is considered relevant.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • More important than SAP experience is a demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes.

Education / Knowledge / Experience

  • BS/BA in related discipline or 5 years’ experience in the related field
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Typically, successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.


Location & Work Environment

  • Preference for candidates located in the Cary/Durham/Raleigh (Triangle), North Carolina area.

Travel Requirements

  • Posted as up to 25% travel, but actual travel is expected to be significantly less.
  • Any travel would be within the United States.
  • Travel expenses are reimbursed.

Contract Duration

  • Initially approved for 6 months.
  • Strong possibility of extension.
  • Project is expected to last approximately 12 to 18 months.
