Ground School Instructor Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for various aviation subjects.
• Conduct classroom and online instruction according to curriculum standards.
• Prepare students for written and oral exams required for pilot certification.
• Evaluate and assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments.
• Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students as needed.
• Stay updated with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with flight instructors to ensure a seamless transition between ground and flight training.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and certifications.
• Participate in curriculum development and regular program evaluations.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
• Coordinate with other instructors and staff to schedule classes and training sessions.

Ground School Instructor Qualifications & Skills

• Possession of a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) credential.
• Master's degree in Aviation or a related field.
• Previous teaching experience in an aviation ground school setting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with aviation training aids and software.
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
• Knowledge of advanced aviation topics and emerging trends.
• Capability to teach a wide range of subjects from basic aviation principles to advanced navigation techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related aviation role.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
• Competency in using standard office and educational software tools.
