Corrective Therapy Aide Teacher Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist licensed therapists in planning and implementing corrective therapy programs.
• Instruct patients in proper exercise techniques and use of therapeutic equipment.
• Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions.
• Modify exercises based on patients' needs and abilities.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise routines and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
• Prepare and set up therapy equipment before sessions.
• Observe patients to ensure they are performing exercises correctly and safely.
• Encourage and motivate patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Corrective Therapy Aide Teacher Qualifications & Skills

• Experience working in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting.
• Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) credential.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with various disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in teaching or training others in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a corrective therapy aide training program or equivalent coursework.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
• Physical ability to assist patients with exercises and use of equipment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
