Baker College is excited to announce an opportunity for an Enrollment Recruiter & Partnerships Specialist to drive student recruitment and grow enrollment in skilled trades and technical education programs. This role develops strategic partnerships with high schools, CTE centers, regional employers, dealerships, and industry associations while leading territory-based recruitment, outreach events, presentations, hands-on program demonstrations, and personalized enrollment guidance. The specialist will also cultivate corporate sponsorships, apprenticeship opportunities, and workforce-aligned educational pathways; coordinate student onboarding; maintain accurate CRM records; and collaborate with faculty and college departments to strengthen enrollment pipelines, expand industry partnerships, and achieve recruitment goals.
The ideal candidate is required to have an associate degree from an accredited institution, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Higher Education Administration, or a related field preferred. Candidates should have two to three years of successful experience in higher education recruitment, corporate outreach, relationship-based sales, technical sales, or workforce development. Experience in automotive, diesel, HVAC, welding, manufacturing, Career and Technical Education (CTE), or skilled trades environments is preferred.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop educational and business partnerships and convert prospective student leads into enrollments. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical career fields, trade certifications, and hands-on learning environments to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CRM systems, recruitment analytics, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and relevant student information and learning management systems. Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills are required to manage regional travel, recruitment events, and student follow-up effectively. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to collaborate with college leadership, faculty, student services, and external partners while maintaining a strong commitment to diversity, equity, mutual respect, and inclusion.
